Bottom Line: while each partnership is unique, childcare and emotional support still fall disproportionately to women in heterosexual relationships.
The pandemic has made this blatantly obvious, as children have been home more, and men have still left women to traditional gender roles, especially with young kids. We’ve made strides since the 1950s, but gender equity is still elusive.
